More than 40 delegates from Mongolia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Uzbekistan attending the 2026 Asian Secondary Mortgage Market Association (ASMMA) Annual Meeting joined Mongolia's "Billion Trees" national movement by planting trees at the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park in Mongolia.

They were also joined by international guests who had participated in the earlier Housing Finance Forum, including representatives from ISMMA, Germany’s LBS (Landesbausparkassen), the International Union for Housing Finance (IUHF), KGI, and S&P.

Organized as part of the annual meeting, this initiative aims to promote environmental sustainability and contribute to global climate action. By planting trees, the delegates highlighted their shared commitment to strengthening international cooperation for green development and a sustainable future.

We express our sincere gratitude to the Mongolian Billion Tree Fund for enabling this tree-planting initiative. Established in March 2022 by the Central Bank of Mongolia and the Mongolian Bankers Association, the Fund supports the financial sector’s ambitious commitment to plant 88.6 million trees, including a pledge of 50 million trees from the banking sector alone.
